Getting Internet of Things (IoT) devices connected has never been easier. This LoRa/Wi-Fi gateway provides connectivity with 3G/4G access (USB 3G/4G dongle required), or via the WAN port for your existing network. LoRa is the latest technology being used by Arduino devices for powerful connectivity, and this will get your LoRa devices online faster and better than ever before. It’s highly customisable, using the open source OpenWrt system, you can even upload your own Arduino Sketch using the Arduino IDE. In addition to to all the awesome LoRa technology, it’s a configurable access point using WiFi client/access/mesh modes, with dual ethernet ports for WAN connectivity too. A web-based configuration console is also provided for quick and simple setup.

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

IDE
Short for Integrated Development Environment, a program used to write, run and manage code. It matters because some learners prefer a traditional coding workspace instead of a guided notebook-style lesson.
IoT
Short for Internet of Things, meaning physical devices that connect to networks or the internet to send data or be controlled remotely. It matters if you want projects such as connected sensors, remote controls or classroom data-logging activities.
LoRa
LoRa is a long-range, low-power wireless radio technology often used for telemetry, remote sensors and other links that send small amounts of data over long distances. It is distinct from Bluetooth and WiFi, so sharing a connector or pinout with LoRa hardware does not mean a device actually uses LoRa.
