This industrial non-contact liquid level sensor uses capacitive sensing to detect liquid through non-metallic container walls, so it does not need to touch corrosive, viscous or contaminated liquids. It is suited to liquids such as milk, honey, latex, blood, engine oil and acid or alkaline solutions where direct-contact probes can corrode, foul or contaminate the contents.
The sensor mounts to the outside of plastic, glass or ceramic containers and detects through walls up to 10mm thick. One-touch automatic sensitivity calibration uses an external push-button control and memory function, locking in the best sensitivity for the current container material and wall thickness within 3-5 seconds when liquid is present at the sensing position.
A built-in LED indicator shows real-time liquid status, while the high/low digital output is compatible with Arduino and other 5V logic microcontrollers. The IP67-rated PC-V0 fire-retardant housing supports use in harsh industrial, outdoor and appliance environments.
Package includes one intelligent non-contact liquid level sensor.

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- capacitive sensing
- Capacitive sensing detects changes in electrical capacitance caused by a nearby object or material, such as a finger, water, or moisture in soil. It is used for touch buttons, proximity detection, and liquid or moisture-level sensing, and it matters because it can work without exposed metal contacts, avoiding the corrosion that bare probes suffer in damp conditions.
- DC
- DC means direct current, where electricity flows in one constant direction, as supplied by batteries, USB ports and many plug-pack power supplies. When a product specifies DC, it runs from a DC supply rather than mains AC, so you need to provide the correct voltage and polarity.
- IP67
- An ingress protection rating meaning the enclosure is dust-tight and can survive temporary immersion in water under specified test conditions. This matters when choosing a sensor for outdoor, wet, or wash-down environments.
- LED
- A light-emitting diode (LED) is a small electronic component that emits light when current flows through it in the correct direction. Because it only conducts one way, its polarity matters, and a through-hole LED must be soldered the correct way around to light up.
