A digital infrared proximity sensor with adjustable detection range from 0 to 200 cm. Outputs a simple digital signal — HIGH when an obstacle is detected, LOW when clear. The detection threshold is adjustable via a rear-mounted screw, making it easy to tune for different applications.

Features the DFRobot Gravity interface (XH2.54 3-pin) for plug-and-play connection with Arduino and compatible IO expansion shields. Operates on 3–5 V, making it suitable for both 3.3 V and 5 V microcontrollers.

Gravity
Gravity is DFRobot’s plug-in connector system for sensors, motors and modules, using standard cables to reduce loose jumper wiring. It matters because Gravity-compatible parts can connect directly to these ports, while non-Gravity parts may need adapters or manual wiring.
Proximity sensor
A sensor that detects when an object is nearby without needing physical contact. For this product it matters because the useful detection range is short, up to about 200 mm, so it suits touch-free triggers and close object detection rather than long-distance measuring.
