A capacitive fingerprint sensor with integrated processing, storage, and matching built around the ID809 high-performance processor and IDfinger6.0 algorithm. The sensor handles all fingerprint recognition independently — registration, deletion, and verification — without external processing. Supports 360-degree fingerprint entry and self-learning to improve accuracy over time.
Equipped with the Gravity interface for easy connection via I2C, compatible with 3.3V and 5V controllers including Arduino UNO and micro:bit. Features a CNC metal ring with round breathing LED indicator.
Key Features
- All-in-One Processing – Integrated fingerprint collection, processing, storage, and matching
- 360° Entry – Fingerprint registration and matching from any angle
- Self-Learning – Improves recognition accuracy with repeated use
- Gravity I2C Interface – Plug-and-play with Arduino UNO, micro:bit, and more
- 3.3V and 5V Compatible – Works with a wide range of controllers
- Breathing LED – Visual status indicator with CNC metal ring

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- Gravity
- Gravity is DFRobot’s plug-in connector system for sensors, motors and modules, using standard cables to reduce loose jumper wiring. It matters because Gravity-compatible parts can connect directly to these ports, while non-Gravity parts may need adapters or manual wiring.
- I2C
- I2C is a two-wire communication bus used by many sensors and small modules. It matters because several I2C devices can share the same two wires, but each device needs a compatible address and your controller must support I2C.
- LED
- A light-emitting diode (LED) is a small electronic component that emits light when current flows through it in the correct direction. Because it only conducts one way, its polarity matters, and a through-hole LED must be soldered the correct way around to light up.
