The Gravity 0–10V ADC Module is a high-precision dual-channel analogue-to-digital converter designed to interface industrial-grade 0–10V sensors with microcontrollers and Linux-based systems. Built on the Texas Instruments ADS1115, it delivers 15-bit resolution (0.375 mV per step) with ±2 mV accuracy across the full 0–10V input range.
The module bridges the voltage gap between high-output industrial sensors (pressure transducers, flow meters, wind speed sensors) and low-voltage controllers like Arduino and Raspberry Pi — no external signal conditioning required. Dual I²C and UART interfaces with the standard Gravity 4-pin connector make integration straightforward.
Key Features
- 15-Bit Resolution – 0.375 mV steps with ±2 mV measurement accuracy
- 0–10V Input Range – Direct interface with industrial-standard sensors
- Dual-Channel Input – Read two analogue signals simultaneously
- ADS1115 ADC Chip – Programmable gain amplifier (PGA) and internal voltage reference
- I²C and UART – Flexible communication for microcontrollers and PLCs
- Gravity Connector – Standard 4-pin interface for quick wiring
- Wide Supply Voltage – 3.3V to 5V DC operation

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- ADC
- An analogue-to-digital converter reads a changing voltage and turns it into a number the microcontroller can use. It matters when connecting analogue sensors such as light, sound, or variable-resistor sensors.
- DC
- DC means direct current, where electricity flows in one constant direction, as supplied by batteries, USB ports and many plug-pack power supplies. When a product specifies DC, it runs from a DC supply rather than mains AC, so you need to provide the correct voltage and polarity.
- Gravity
- Gravity is DFRobot’s plug-in connector system for sensors, motors and modules, using standard cables to reduce loose jumper wiring. It matters because Gravity-compatible parts can connect directly to these ports, while non-Gravity parts may need adapters or manual wiring.
- Programmable gain amplifier
- A built-in amplifier whose gain can be changed in software to make small input signals easier to measure. This matters because choosing the right gain can improve detail for small sensors, but too much gain can make the input range too small.
- UART
- UART is a simple asynchronous serial interface that sends data over separate transmit and receive wires, usually labelled TX and RX, with both ends set to the same baud rate. It is a common way for microcontrollers and other serial devices to exchange data.
- voltage reference
- A voltage reference is a stable, accurate voltage that a converter uses as its comparison point: an ADC measures its inputs relative to it, while a DAC scales its output to it. A more stable reference gives more consistent results, which matters most in precision sensing and instrumentation.
