A PSP/Xbox-style analog thumb joystick with a built-in press-to-select button, mounted on a breakout board designed for easy panel mounting. Unlike simple directional joysticks, this analog stick provides precise, proportional X and Y readings for accurate positional control.

The breakout board features mounting holes positioned clear of the joystick's movement range, so you can securely attach it to a panel or enclosure without interference. A 5-pin 0.1" header makes it easy to connect via breadboard, perfboard, or free wiring. Just solder the joystick to the PCB — it takes about a minute.

Key Features

  • 2-Axis Analog Output – Proportional X and Y readings for precise control
  • Press-to-Select Button – Built-in digital switch activated by pressing the stick
  • Panel-Mount Design – Mounting holes positioned clear of joystick movement
  • Breakout Board Included – 5-pin 0.1" header for easy connection
  • Soft-Touch Rubber Cap – Comfortable thumb grip included

Specifications

  • Axes – 2 (X and Y, analog)
  • Button – 1 (press-to-select, digital)
  • Connections Required – 2 analog inputs + 1 digital input
  • Header Pitch – 0.1" (2.54mm), 5 pins

Ideal For

  • Game controllers and handheld projects
  • Robot and drone manual control
  • Menu navigation interfaces
  • Arduino and microcontroller input projects
Note: Soldering is required to attach the joystick to the breakout board. A soldering iron and solder are not included.

Package Contents

  • 1× Analog 2-Axis Thumb Joystick
  • 1× Soft-touch rubber cap
  • 1× Breakout board with 5-pin header

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

breakout
A breakout is a small circuit board that makes a tiny or hard-to-solder component easier to connect to with standard pins. It matters because this OLED module can be wired into a microcontroller project without needing to solder directly to the display’s fine contacts.
microcontroller
A microcontroller is a small computer on a chip that runs your program and controls connected inputs and outputs. For this product, it is the part that reads buttons and sensors, drives the display and speaker, and communicates over Bluetooth.
PCB
A printed circuit board is a rigid board with copper tracks that connect electronic parts without loose wires. For this kit, the PCBs also form the airplane shape, so they are both the circuit base and part of the finished model.
