This fanless aluminium case gives Raspberry Pi systems a fully enclosed, passively cooled housing. The solid aluminium chassis acts as a heatsink, drawing heat away from the processor through integrated thermal pads for quiet, stable operation under sustained workloads.
By using the whole enclosure as thermal mass, the Pi-5 Pro offers improved heat dissipation compared with standard plastic cases or small heatsinks. With no fan or moving parts, it is well suited to dusty, vibration-prone or long-service installations where reliability and silence matter.
The enclosure protects the board while maintaining access to the Raspberry Pi’s primary I/O headers and connectors. It suits embedded systems, industrial control, home automation and edge deployments, and can be paired with a VESA Mounting Cover for behind-display installation and cleaner cable management.
Features:
- Fanless aluminium enclosure
- Passive heatsink design
- Integrated thermal pad heat transfer
- Silent operation (no moving parts)
- Improved thermal performance vs. standard cases
- Reduced thermal throttling under load
- Full enclosure for board protection
- Access to Raspberry Pi I/O headers and connectors
- Compact industrial form factor
- Increased reliability for 24/7 operation
- No active cooling required
- Designed for Raspberry Pi systems
Installation manual documentation is provided by the manufacturer.
Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- Headers
- Rows of metal pins used to plug a module into a breadboard or connect it with jumper wires. Pre-soldered headers make the module easier to use straight away without needing to solder the pins yourself.
- Matter
- A smart home connectivity standard designed to let devices work across different ecosystems. It matters if you want a project to integrate more easily with platforms such as Apple Home, Google Home, or other Matter-compatible systems.
- passive heatsink
- A heatsink is a piece of metal shaped to draw heat away from a hot component, and passive means it works without a fan. This matters because it can keep a processor cooler and quieter, but the case itself may become hot during use.
- thermal throttling
- Thermal throttling is when a processor automatically slows down because it is getting too hot. A case designed to reduce throttling can help a small computer maintain performance during heavier tasks.
