The Waveshare 15.6" FHD Monitor (C) is a portable touchscreen display with 1920×1080 IPS panel, 10-point capacitive touch, and a built-in 10,000mAh battery providing 3–4 hours of untethered use. The screen is optically bonded to toughened glass with 6H hardness, reducing glare and improving touch responsiveness while protecting against scratches.
Connect via a single USB-C cable for video, touch, and power, or use the Mini HDMI input for display-only connections. A built-in Hi-Fi speaker and 3.5 mm audio jack handle sound output. The monitor works with PCs, laptops, smartphones (with USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode), single-board computers, and gaming consoles — no drivers required on most platforms.

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- DisplayPort
- A digital display interface used to connect monitors and other video displays. It matters because the supported DisplayPort version affects display resolution, refresh rate and monitor compatibility.
- HDMI
- HDMI is a common digital video and audio connection used by computers, media players, and many displays. If a display kit has HDMI input, it is usually much easier to test with a single-board computer because it can act like a normal monitor.
- IPS
- IPS is a type of LCD panel that keeps colours and contrast more consistent when viewed from an angle. This matters for small displays that may be mounted in a dashboard, handheld project, or enclosure where the viewer is not always looking straight on.
- USB-C
- A modern reversible USB connector used for power and data connections. On this product it matters because it can connect directly to a computer as well as to a microcontroller project.
