ThinkNode G3 is a high-performance, compact LoRaWAN gateway designed for IoT communications by Elecrow. It uses the ESP32-S3 dual-core processor and Semtech SX1262 transceiver, equipped with a 240MHz dual-core main control, integrated Bluetooth, WiFi and optional 4G modules(Not yet released), and can provide flexible network backhaul methods. The SX1262 transceiver, combined with the internal TCXO crystal oscillator, ensures the ultra-long-distance transmission and high-frequency stability of the ThinkNode G3 while maintaining low power consumption. It supports the configuration of US915MHz/EU868MHz/AU915MHz frequencies, supports seamless conversion between LoRa and IP protocols, can efficiently receive LoRa signals and transmit them back to the cloud through multiple networks to achieve stable data interaction. Its simple configuration interface supports quick adjustment of LoRa parameters on mobile phones or PCs, and supports remote firmware upgrades, greatly improving deployment and maintenance efficiency. ThinkNode G3 supports development languages such as MicroPython, C/C++, and is compatible with ESP-IDF and Arduino IDEdevelopment environments, providing engineers and technology enthusiasts with extremely high development flexibility and simplifying the secondary development process.
ThinkNode G3 adopts a modern smart home style design and is equipped with a multi-functional fixed base. It supports multiple installation methods, such as wall, plate, and slide rails, to adapt to diverse indoor and outdoor deployment needs. It is widely used in smart cities, smart agriculture, industrial Internet of Things, smart buildings, logistics management, environmental monitoring and other fields. It is a key hub in the Internet of Things communication architecture.

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

ESP-IDF
ESP-IDF is Espressif’s official software development framework for ESP32-family chips. It gives more direct control over the hardware than beginner-style environments, which can help with advanced features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, audio and power management.
ESP32
ESP32 is a family of microcontroller modules with built-in wireless features such as Bluetooth and WiFi. Knowing this product uses an ESP32-based module helps explain how it provides wireless serial communication and firmware update features.
IDE
Short for Integrated Development Environment, a program used to write, run and manage code. It matters because some learners prefer a traditional coding workspace instead of a guided notebook-style lesson.
IoT
Short for Internet of Things, meaning physical devices that connect to networks or the internet to send data or be controlled remotely. It matters if you want projects such as connected sensors, remote controls or classroom data-logging activities.
LoRa
LoRa is a long-range, low-power radio technology often used for telemetry and remote sensors. It matters here because the connector and pinout are compatible with some LoRa telemetry products, even though this module uses Bluetooth instead.
MicroPython
A version of the Python programming language made to run on microcontrollers. It matters because it lets beginners write readable code to control LEDs, sensors, motors and displays without needing to start with lower-level languages.
