This kit bundles a HUSKYLENS AI vision smart sensor, a micro:bit V2 board and the matching Study Pack for classroom-friendly image recognition projects. It is based around micro:bit programming and is designed to help students explore the eight HUSKYLENS functions through hands-on lessons.
The study pack includes teaching cards for faces, colours, objects, barcodes, QR codes, object tracking and labels, plus external modules that let projects respond in the real world. Example activities use a servo for face unlocking, an RGB LED strip for colour recognition and a voice recorder module for sound-related builds.
The tutorial is organised into 12 chapters with 25 projects, covering activities such as a music magic mirror, face recognition access control, a colourful piano, pet vending machine, object tracker, self-service cashier, smart bus ticketing machine, safety helmet reminder, HUSKYLENS AI camera and emergency lane watchdog.
The shipping list includes: IO Extender for micro:bit ×1; Gravity: Vibration Motor Module For Arduino ×1; Gravity: Voice Recorder Module ×1; Stereo Enclosed Speaker-3W 8Ω ×1; 9g 180° Micro Servo (1.6kg) ×1; Bistable LED Switch - Blue ×1; RGB Full Color LED Strip ×1; Micro USB Cable ×1; Gravity: Digital Sensor Cable for Arduino ×4; Gravity: Analog Sensor Cable for Arduino ×1; Face Card ×5; Color Card ×7; Object Card ×4; Barcode Card ×3; QR Code Card ×3; Object Tracking Card ×3; Label Card ×3; Plastic Round Snap Ring ×1; HuskyLens Mainboard x1; M3 Screws x6; M3 Nuts x6; Small Mounting Bracket x1; Heightening Bracket x1; Gravity 4-Pin Sensor Cable x1; micro:bit V2 x1.

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- Gravity
- Gravity is DFRobot’s plug-in connector system for sensors, motors and modules, using standard cables to reduce loose jumper wiring. It matters because Gravity-compatible parts can connect directly to these ports, while non-Gravity parts may need adapters or manual wiring.
- LED
- A light-emitting diode is a small electronic component that lights up when current flows through it in the correct direction. In this kit, LEDs create the flashing effect, so polarity and correct soldering matter for the project to work.
- RGB
- Short for red, green and blue, usually referring to an LED that can mix those three colours. It matters because controlling an RGB LED teaches how separate outputs combine to create different colours.
- servo
- A servo is a motor with built-in position control, usually told to move to a specific angle by a control signal. It matters when you need repeatable movement, such as steering, arms, flaps, or linkages, rather than continuous spinning.
