This 300 mm (11.8") 4-wire cable is fitted with JST-SH female 4-pin connectors on both ends. The 1 mm pitch JST-SH connectors are more compact than the chunkier 2 mm pitch JST-PH, while still providing a secure latching connection that is easy to insert and remove.

Compatible with both STEMMA QT and Qwiic ecosystems, this cable provides a quick plug-and-play connection for I2C sensors, drivers, and breakout boards. Data wires are interleaved with ground and power to reduce cross-talk.

Key Features

  • JST-SH 4-Pin Connectors – 1 mm pitch, female connectors on both ends
  • STEMMA QT / Qwiic Compatible – Works with both ecosystems
  • Latching Connectors – Secure connection with easy insertion and removal
  • Reduced Cross-Talk – Data wires interleaved with ground and power

Wire Colour Map

  • Red – 3.3 V DC power
  • Black – Ground
  • Blue – I2C SDA (data)
  • Yellow – I2C SCL (clock)

Specifications

  • Length – 300 mm
  • Connector – JST-SH 4-pin female (both ends)
  • Pitch – 1 mm
  • Wires – 4

Ideal For

  • Connecting STEMMA QT and Qwiic I2C devices
  • Sensor and breakout board wiring
  • Prototyping with I2C peripherals
Note: At 300 mm this cable is relatively long for I2C. If you experience connection or data issues at higher bus speeds (400 kHz, 800 kHz, or 1 MHz), try lowering the I2C clock rate.

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

breakout
A breakout is a small circuit board that makes a tiny or hard-to-solder component easier to connect to with standard pins. It matters because this OLED module can be wired into a microcontroller project without needing to solder directly to the display’s fine contacts.
I2C
I2C is a two-wire communication bus used by many sensors and small modules. It matters because several I2C devices can share the same two wires, but each device needs a compatible address and your controller must support I2C.
pH
A measure of how acidic or alkaline a liquid is, on a scale where 7 is neutral. For a water monitoring kit, pH tells you about water chemistry and whether the included probe matches the range and accuracy your project needs.
Qwiic
Qwiic is a plug-in connector system for I2C devices that uses small 4-pin cables, so you can connect compatible sensors without soldering. It matters because your controller or adapter also needs Qwiic, or you will need a cable or breakout to wire it up.
STEMMA
A plug-and-cable connection system used on some maker electronics boards to make wiring simpler. If a product uses STEMMA, you need the matching cable or connector type to plug it in without soldering.
STEMMA QT
A small plug-in connector system for I2C boards that lets you connect compatible sensors and controllers without soldering. It matters because it can make wiring faster and less error-prone, especially when adding several small modules to a project.
