When working with unusual non-header-friendly surfaces, these handy cables will be your best friends! No longer will you have long, cumbersome strands of alligator clips. These compact jumper cables have a premium female header on one end and a grippy mini alligator clip on the other.

Grab onto your Circuit Playground, micro:bit, CRICKIT, Gemma, or even a banana, and plug it into a breadboard for prototyping joy and ease!

  • 6 piece set, color-coded vinyl-covered 1" alligator clips on one end and female jumper wires on the other end
  • Contains one of each: black, red, white, green, blue, and yellow
  • 26 AWG

We also have the 'opposite' type of jumper here, with plug instead of socket ends.

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

alligator clip
An alligator clip is a spring-loaded metal clip used to make temporary electrical connections to wires, terminals or test points. It is useful for quick bench testing, but it is less secure than a screw terminal or locking connector.
AWG
American Wire Gauge is a numbering system for wire thickness, where a lower number means a thicker wire. The AWG rating matters because thicker wire can usually carry more current with less voltage drop and heating.
