This round scrubber knob is designed to pair with a rotary encoder, giving you a broad, easy-to-grip control surface for fast spinning and one-finger adjustments.
The face includes a finger groove, making it handy for menu navigation, jog wheels, scrub controls, and other encoder-based interfaces where continuous rotation is useful.
It snaps onto a compatible rotary encoder and does not include the encoder itself. Please note that this knob is not suitable for Adafruit potentiometers with T18 spline shafts, even though potentiometers and rotary encoders can look similar.
Specifications:
- Diameter: 34.7mm / ~1.3"
- Height: 10.5mm / 0.4"
- Weight: 2.1g
Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- encoder
- An encoder is a sensor that converts the rotation or position of a shaft, knob or dial into electrical signals, reporting movement as incremental steps and direction, or as an absolute position. It is used to track how far something has turned, which matters for precise positioning, speed control, repeatable movement, or using a rotary knob as an input.
