This industrial-grade residual chlorine sensor is designed for precise, reliable water quality monitoring in demanding environments. Its integrated probe and housing measure residual chlorine concentrations, specifically hypochlorous acid and hypochlorite ions, over a 0 to 10 mg/L range.
The sensor communicates over RS485 and supports the standard ModBus-RTU protocol, making it suitable for industrial IoT systems and remote monitoring setups. DFRobot provides tutorials for use with Arduino development boards and DFRobot LoRaWAN networks to help with environment setup and real-time data monitoring.
Each unit is factory-calibrated for immediate use without secondary calibration on installation. The IP68 waterproof rating supports prolonged continuous underwater submersion, making it suitable for tap water monitoring, drinking water treatment, swimming pool disinfection systems, smart agriculture and aquaculture monitoring.
Included in the package are the RS485 Water Quality Chlorine Residual Sensor x1, 5m sensor cable x1, electrode protective solution 100ml (3.3mol/L KCl) x1, black protective mesh x1 and cable ties x2. The probe cap is sealed with 3.3mol/L KCl protective liquid; occasional seepage may form white crystals, which is a normal chemical occurrence and does not compromise the probe lifespan or accuracy.
