This NPN to PNP signal converter module bridges the gap when your sensor outputs an NPN signal but your controller or PLC expects a PNP input. Simply wire it inline between the sensor and the controller to convert the signal type without modifying either device.
The module includes built-in surge absorption and over-current protection to safeguard connected equipment.
Key Features
- NPN to PNP Conversion – Converts NPN normally-open output to PNP normally-open
- Built-In Protection – Surge absorption and over-current protection
- Fast Response – 1 µs response time
- Wide Voltage Range – 5–24 V DC operation
Specifications
- Model – BM-NP
- Conversion – NPN NO → PNP NO

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- DC
- DC means direct current, where electricity flows in one constant direction, as supplied by batteries, USB ports and many plug-pack power supplies. When a product specifies DC, it runs from a DC supply rather than mains AC, so you need to provide the correct voltage and polarity.
