A non-contact capacitive liquid level sensor that detects whether liquid is present inside a non-metallic container or pipe without direct contact with the fluid. It works by measuring changes in capacitance through the container wall, making it suitable for corrosive liquids, strong acids, alkalis, and high-temperature fluids including boiling water.

The sensor includes adjustable sensitivity, a status indicator LED, and a 4-pin adapter for direct digital signal output to Arduino or other microcontrollers. It can penetrate non-metallic materials (plastic, glass, ceramic) up to 20 mm thick.

Key Features

  • Non-Contact Detection – Senses liquid through container walls up to 20 mm thick
  • Wide Material Compatibility – Works with plastic, glass, ceramic, and other non-metallic containers
  • Adjustable Sensitivity – Fine-tune detection threshold for your application
  • Status Indicator LED – Visual feedback of liquid presence
  • Digital Output – High-level switch output with 4-pin adapter for Arduino
  • Chemical Resistant – Unaffected by corrosive liquids, acids, or alkalis
  • Wide Voltage Range – 5–12V DC
  • IP65 Rated – Dust-tight and splash-resistant

Specifications

  • Power Supply – 5–12V DC
  • Output – Switch (high-level output)
  • Response Time – 500 ms
  • Operating Temperature – −5 °C to +105 °C
  • Minimum Pipe Diameter – 11 mm (outer)
  • Liquid Level Accuracy – ±1.5 mm
  • Material – ABS
  • Protection – IP65

Ideal For

  • Tank and reservoir level monitoring
  • Water dispensers and beverage machines
  • Chemical and corrosive liquid detection
  • Arduino-based automation projects

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

LED
A light-emitting diode is a small electronic component that lights up when current flows through it in the correct direction. In this kit, LEDs create the flashing effect, so polarity and correct soldering matter for the project to work.
