The M0601 is a compact direct-drive hub motor for intelligent mobile robots, AGVs and AMRs. It combines a brushless DC motor, servo driver and high-precision encoder in a single 102mm hub, reducing the need for external motor drivers and complex wiring.

Motion control is handled with advanced FOC (Field Oriented Control) algorithms and a 4096-line encoder, enabling closed-loop control of torque, speed and position. The RS485 interface supports real-time monitoring of position, speed and current for integrated robotic drive systems.

This is the right-orientation version, designed for the right side of a robot chassis. Please check your chassis mounting position and cable exit direction before ordering; one M0601 Direct-Drive Hub Motor (Right Orientation) is included.

Features:

  • Integrated design combining motor, driver, and encoder for plug-and-play deployment
  • Supports RS485 communication for real-time monitoring of position, speed, and current
  • Triple-loop closed control (Torque, Speed, Position) via advanced FOC algorithm
  • High-precision 4096-line built-in encoder for accurate motion feedback
  • Robust performance with 2.0 N·m stall torque and IP54 protection rating
  • Ultra-quiet operation with noise levels maintained below 50 dB
  • Comprehensive safety features including over-current, over-temperature, and stall protection

Suitable for service robots, logistics AGVs, AMRs, industrial transport platforms and mobile research robots.

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

closed-loop control
Closed-loop control means the system uses feedback, such as motor position or speed, to adjust its output automatically. This matters because it can keep a motor moving accurately even when the load changes, unlike simple open-loop control.
encoder
A device attached to a motor or shaft that reports movement, such as rotation steps or position. In a pump system, an encoder can help measure or control how much the motor has turned, which affects how repeatable the watering amount can be.
IP54
An ingress protection rating meaning the enclosure has limited dust protection and is protected against water splashes from any direction. This matters because it gives a practical indication of how well the product may handle dusty or damp installations.
RS485
RS485 is a robust wired serial communication standard often used in factories, farms, and buildings where cables may be long or electrically noisy. It matters because it lets this controller connect to industrial sensors, meters, and control equipment over longer distances than typical hobby serial wiring.
servo
A servo is a motor with built-in position control, usually told to move to a specific angle by a control signal. It matters when you need repeatable movement, such as steering, arms, flaps, or linkages, rather than continuous spinning.
Stall torque
The maximum twisting force a servo can produce when its output is held still and cannot move. It helps you judge whether the servo is strong enough for a robot joint, steering linkage, or other load.
Torque
A twisting force that causes something to rotate, usually measured in newton-metres or kilogram-centimetres. It matters when choosing motors, servos, gears, and tools because higher torque is needed to lift heavier loads, turn larger wheels, or move mechanisms without stalling.
