This 5 pack of labelled 4-pin male-to-male DuPont cables is designed to make wiring Gravity modules, breadboards and development boards clearer during prototyping. Each 30 cm cable includes printed I2C and UART pin tags on the wires, helping you identify power, ground and signal lines without relying only on colour or tiny board markings.

The cable keeps the same wire order at both ends and follows the DFRobot Gravity pin definition, making it suitable for Gravity sensors, expansion modules and controller boards. It can also be used with common maker platforms such as Arduino, ESP32 and Raspberry Pi when connected through suitable headers, shields or adapters.

The DuPont 2.54 mm male connectors suit breadboards, development boards and expansion headers, while the colour-coded wiring helps keep dense layouts easier to trace. It is a practical choice for classroom labs, robotics projects, sensor experiments and rapid hardware prototyping.

Features:

  • High-quality, RoHS compliant
  • Colors and labels provide clearer signal identification and more efficient wiring
  • Compliant with the I2C & UART pin definition of the DFRobot Gravity series
  • Gravity I2C/UART Line Sequence Definition
  • Red Line: VCC/+ (Power +)
  • Black Line: GND/- (Power -)
  • Blue Line: SCL/RX (Clock/Receive)
  • Green Line: SDA/TX (Data/Transmit)

Specifications:

  • Interface: DuPont 2.54 (M/M)
  • Length: 30cm
  • Withstand Voltage: <50V
  • Withstand Current: <1000mA

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

ESP32
ESP32 is a family of microcontroller modules with built-in wireless features such as Bluetooth and WiFi. Knowing this product uses an ESP32-based module helps explain how it provides wireless serial communication and firmware update features.
Gravity
Gravity is DFRobot’s plug-in connector system for sensors, motors and modules, using standard cables to reduce loose jumper wiring. It matters because Gravity-compatible parts can connect directly to these ports, while non-Gravity parts may need adapters or manual wiring.
Headers
Rows of metal pins used to plug a module into a breadboard or connect it with jumper wires. Pre-soldered headers make the module easier to use straight away without needing to solder the pins yourself.
I2C
I2C is a two-wire communication bus used by many sensors and small modules. It matters because several I2C devices can share the same two wires, but each device needs a compatible address and your controller must support I2C.
male-to-male
A male-to-male cable has plug-style connectors on both ends rather than a socket on one end. This matters when choosing a cable because it must match the female sockets on the modules or boards you want to connect.
UART
UART is a simple serial connection that sends data over separate transmit and receive wires, often labelled TX and RX. It matters because this module is designed to replace a wired UART cable with a wireless link while keeping the same serial data format.
