The ELECFREAKS micro:bit Nezha Pro Ocean Kit is an ocean-themed STEM education kit that guides students through Ian's ocean adventure storyline with a project-based learning approach. Using electronic components and building blocks, students explore marine ecology, understand concepts like tidal power, and propose solutions to real-world challenges such as ocean pollution.
Key Features
Developed on Nezha Pro Breakout Board - Features Type-C charging port, motor interfaces, micro:bit connector, GPIO and IIC interfaces, buzzer, and building block interfaces.
Color Recognition System - Proprietary color-coded sensor ports perfectly match MakeCode programming blocks for intuitive connections.
High-Precision Smart Brick Motors - PlanetX Smart Brick Motors combine pinpoint servo accuracy with powerful motor drive, featuring instant command response and self-protection from overheating.
No Main Control Mode - Can operate without a micro:bit board, allowing experimentation and innovation.
What's Included
  • 500+ building blocks (compatible with LEGO and Fischertechnik)
  • 13 electronic modules/sensors
  • Nezha Pro controller with 4+ hours battery life
  • Smart Brick Motors
  • Various sensors and wheels
Educational Content
16+ coding projects included covering:
  • Sailboat, Compass, Transport Vehicle, Crane
  • Weather Pal, Fishing Rod, Lighthouse

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

breakout
A breakout board carries a small or fine-pitched component and brings its connections out to standard, breadboard- and header-friendly pins. Describing a part as a breakout means it can be wired into a project without soldering directly to the component's tiny contacts.
GPIO
General-purpose input/output pins are microcontroller pins you can set in software to read signals, switch devices on and off, or connect to peripherals. The number of GPIO pins matters because it limits how many buttons, LEDs, sensors, and other parts you can wire directly to the board.
servo
A servo is a motor with built-in position control, usually told to move to a specific angle by a control signal. It matters when you need repeatable movement, such as steering, arms, flaps, or linkages, rather than continuous spinning.
Type-C
USB Type-C (USB-C) is a small, reversible USB connector used for charging, power, and data transfer on many modern devices. A Type-C port or plug indicates the cable and charger connection needed to power, charge, or communicate with a device.
