EagLED yellow sewable LEDs designed for e-textiles and wearable electronics. These Australian-made LEDs come attached in a strip — simply snap them apart and sew into clothing, accessories, or fabric projects using conductive thread. A lower-cost alternative to LilyPad LEDs.

Each LED lights up when power is connected to the + pin and ground to the − pin. Compatible with PWM for fade and twinkle effects. Also available in red, white, and blue.

Key Features

  • Sewable Design – Sew-on pins for conductive thread attachment
  • Snap-Apart Strip – LEDs come connected; snap apart as needed
  • Australian Made – Designed and manufactured locally
  • PWM Compatible – Create fade and twinkle effects with pulse-width modulation
  • Simple Operation – Connect power to + and ground to − to light up

Specifications

  • Colour – Yellow
  • Input Voltage – 3 V to 6 V
  • Mounting – Sew-on pins (conductive thread)
  • Dimensions – 5 × 12 × 1 mm (W × H × D)

Ideal For

  • E-textiles and wearable LED projects
  • Interactive clothing and costumes
  • Craft and fabric electronics
  • Educational workshops

Package Contents

  • 5× Yellow EagLED Sewable LEDs (on snap-apart strip)

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

conductive thread
Thread made with metal or other conductive fibres so it can carry electricity while being sewn into fabric. It matters for wearable and textile projects because it can replace wire, but it has more resistance than normal hookup wire.
e-textiles
Electronic textiles are fabrics or clothing that include electrical parts such as conductive thread, sensors, LEDs, or small controllers. This matters because parts for e-textiles need to survive bending, sewing, and sometimes washing.
LED
A light-emitting diode is a small electronic component that lights up when current flows through it in the correct direction. In this kit, LEDs create the flashing effect, so polarity and correct soldering matter for the project to work.
PWM
Pulse Width Modulation is a way for a digital pin to simulate variable output power by switching on and off very quickly. It matters for controlling things like LED brightness, motor speed, or servo-style signals from a microcontroller pin.
Thread
A low-power wireless mesh networking standard designed for smart home and IoT devices. It matters because Thread devices can relay messages through each other, helping build reliable networks for sensors and controllers.
