Adafruit FONA 800 Shield - Voice/Data Cellular GSM for Arduino
Discontinued
The Adafruit FONA 800 Shield brings 2G cellular connectivity directly to your Arduino in a convenient shield form factor. Built around the SIM800 quad-band GSM module (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), it provides voice calling, SMS messaging, GPRS data, and even FM radio reception — all controlled via AT commands over serial.
The shield plugs directly onto any classic Arduino or compatible board and includes LiPo battery charging with a power switch, level shifting for Arduino-safe operation, a TRRS headphone jack, and a uFL antenna connector. A vibration motor driver is also built in for silent notifications.
