The Adafruit DotStar Digital LED Strip (30 LED/m, black flex PCB) delivers superior performance over traditional NeoPixels with its 2-wire SPI interface. Push data at up to 32 MHz clock speed with no critical timing requirements, making it compatible with virtually any microcontroller or microprocessor.

Each 5050-sized RGB LED contains an embedded driver chip that handles 24-bit colour output and 20 KHz PWM — ideal for persistence-of-vision (POV) projects and smooth, flicker-free colour blending even at low brightness levels. This is 1 metre of the 30 LED/m density on black flex PCB, sold from 4-metre reels.
