This IEEE 802.3af PoE splitter separates power and data from a single PoE Ethernet cable, providing regulated 12VDC at up to 1A on a standard 2.1 mm DC barrel jack alongside a standard Ethernet data connection. It lets you power non-PoE devices over Ethernet without running separate power cables.
The splitter accepts 44–57V PoE input and supports 10/100 Mbps data transmission. It works with any 802.3af-compliant PoE switch, injector, or router.
Key Features
- IEEE 802.3af Compliant – Works with standard PoE switches and injectors
- Regulated 12V Output – Up to 1A on a 2.1 mm DC barrel jack
- 10/100 Mbps Data – Passes through Ethernet data alongside power
- Wide Input Range – 44–57V PoE input
- Simple Installation – Splits one PoE cable into separate data and power connections
Ideal For
- Powering Raspberry Pi or Arduino over Ethernet
- IP cameras and access points without dedicated power
- Remote sensor installations

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- DC barrel jack
- A round power connector commonly used for low-voltage DC power supplies, often described by its outer and inner diameters such as 5.5 x 2.1 mm. Matching the barrel size and polarity is important so the plug physically fits and powers the device correctly.
- PoE
- Power over Ethernet lets one Ethernet cable carry both network data and electrical power. This is useful when installing a device where running a separate power adaptor would be difficult.
