A matched pair of 4-wire cables with JST SM connectors — one plug and one receptacle — for easy plug-and-unplug connections. Each cable is 15cm long with a latching connector that stays secure during use but disconnects cleanly when needed.
JST SM connectors are commonly found on digital addressable LED strips and pixel strands. Use these cables to connect to the input or output ports of LED strips, extend connections to an Arduino or other microcontroller, or chain multiple strands together.

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- LED
- A light-emitting diode is a small electronic component that lights up when current flows through it in the correct direction. In this kit, LEDs create the flashing effect, so polarity and correct soldering matter for the project to work.
- microcontroller
- A microcontroller is a small computer on a chip that runs your program and controls connected inputs and outputs. For this product, it is the part that reads buttons and sensors, drives the display and speaker, and communicates over Bluetooth.
