A 16mm illuminated pushbutton with a built-in yellow LED and latching on/off action. Press once to switch on, press again to switch off — ideal for power switches, mode selectors, and control panels.

The LED is wired independently from the switch contacts, giving you full control over when the light is on. You can have it light up when the switch is active, when it's off, or keep it always lit — whatever suits your project. The LED has a forward voltage of approximately 2.2V; connect a 220–1000Ω resistor in series when using a 3V or higher supply.

Key Features

  • Latching On/Off Action – Push to toggle between connected and disconnected states
  • Built-In Yellow LED – Independently controlled from the switch for flexible indicator options
  • 4 Contacts – Two for the switch, two for the LED (marked + and −)
  • 16mm Panel Mount – Medium-sized button, easy to press without being bulky
  • Black Plastic Body – Clean look with yellow illuminated face

Ideal For

  • Project enclosures and control panels
  • Power on/off switches with LED indicators
  • Warning or status indicator buttons
  • Arduino and microcontroller input projects

Package Contents

  • 1× 16mm Yellow Illuminated Latching Pushbutton
Tip: This button is also available in red, blue, green, and white. Need momentary instead of latching? See the Yellow Momentary version.

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

LED
A light-emitting diode is a small electronic component that lights up when current flows through it in the correct direction. In this kit, LEDs create the flashing effect, so polarity and correct soldering matter for the project to work.
microcontroller
A microcontroller is a small computer on a chip that runs your program and controls connected inputs and outputs. For this product, it is the part that reads buttons and sensors, drives the display and speaker, and communicates over Bluetooth.
