This 12V normally closed solenoid valve controls water flow through a 1/2″ (DN15) inlet and outlet. It remains closed when unpowered and opens when 12V is applied — no polarity distinction is required. Pair it with a Gravity Water Flow Sensor (1/2″) for real-time flow monitoring in automated systems.
Built with a stainless steel spring and rated for at least 200,000 cycles, the valve is designed for long service life. The valve terminal direction can be adjusted to suit your plumbing layout. It operates within a working pressure of 0.02–0.8 MPa and can withstand up to 2.0 MPa static pressure.
Key Features
- Normally Closed Operation – Closes when unpowered, opens at 12V DC
- No Polarity – Connect either wire to positive or negative
- 1/2″ (DN15) Connections – Standard half-inch threaded inlet and outlet
- Long Service Life – Rated for ≥200,000 cycles
- Adjustable Orientation – Valve terminal direction can be rotated to suit your installation

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- GPIO
- General-purpose input/output pins are microcontroller pins you can set in software to read signals, switch devices on and off, or connect to peripherals. The number of GPIO pins matters because it limits how many buttons, LEDs, sensors, and other parts you can wire directly to the board.
- microcontroller
- A microcontroller is a small computer on a chip that runs your program and controls connected inputs and outputs. For this product, it is the part that reads buttons and sensors, drives the display and speaker, and communicates over Bluetooth.
