This is a simple 12-pin male straight header for plated through-hole (PTH) connections. It is handy for adding pins to PCBs, breakout boards and other projects that use the standard 0.1 inch header spacing.
If you do not need the full 12-pin length, the header can be broken apart into smaller sections so you can fit just the number of pins your build requires.

- breakout
- A breakout board carries a small or fine-pitched component and brings its connections out to standard, breadboard- and header-friendly pins. Describing a part as a breakout means it can be wired into a project without soldering directly to the component's tiny contacts.
- PTH
- Plated through-hole means the pin holes are metal-lined so solder connects the pad on both sides of the board. It is useful for connectors and headers that need a strong mechanical and electrical connection.
- through-hole
