This is a single-row straight male header with 14 breakaway pins on standard 0.1 inch (2.54mm) spacing. It is suited to through-hole prototyping, module headers and breadboard-friendly maker projects.

The 14x1 format is commonly used with Teensy 3.2 and Teensy 4.0 boards. If you are fitting headers to both sides of one of these boards, you will typically need two strips, one for each side.

The pins feature high quality 15µ" gold plating for reliable contact in sockets, breadboards and matching female headers.

Specifications:

  • Header type: Straight male header
  • Rows: Single row
  • Pin count: 14-pin
  • Size: 14x1
  • Pitch: 0.1" (2.54mm) spacing
  • Mounting style: PTH
  • Plating: 15µ" gold plating
  • Typical use: Teensy 3.2 or Teensy 4.0
  • Quantity required for Teensy 3.2 or Teensy 4.0: Two, one for each side of the board

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

Headers
Rows of connector contacts on a fixed pitch (commonly 2.54 mm) used to link a board to a breadboard, jumper wires, or another board. They come as male pin headers and female socket headers; when a module ships with pre-soldered headers it can be used straight away, whereas bare pads require soldering the pins yourself.
PTH
Plated through-hole means the pin holes are metal-lined so solder connects the pad on both sides of the board. It is useful for connectors and headers that need a strong mechanical and electrical connection.
through-hole
A mounting style where the component leads pass through holes in a circuit board and are soldered on the other side. Through-hole parts are often easier to handle and solder by hand, which is useful for classroom and hobby projects.
