A sewable coin cell battery holder designed for wearable electronics projects. The metal tabs have small 1mm holes that accommodate a #5 or smaller needle, making it easy to sew directly onto fabric with conductive thread.

The holder accepts standard CR2032 lithium coin cells (3V, ~200mAh), which snap in securely and pop out with a push. The flat plastic back can be glued down for extra stability on garments and accessories.

Key Features

  • Sewable Tabs – 1mm holes in metal tabs for stitching with conductive thread
  • CR2032 Compatible – Fits standard 20mm diameter, 3.2mm thick coin cells
  • Secure Snap Fit – Battery clicks in firmly, easy to replace
  • Flat Back – Smooth plastic base for gluing or sewing to fabric
  • Clearly Marked Polarity – One tab for GND (−), one tab for +3V

Specifications

  • Battery Type – CR2032 lithium coin cell (not included)
  • Output Voltage – 3V
  • Mounting – Sewable (conductive thread) or glueable

Ideal For

  • Wearable electronics and e-textiles
  • LED jewellery and costume lighting
  • Small portable projects
  • Conductive thread circuits

Package Contents

  • 1× Sewable CR2032 Battery Holder (battery not included)

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

conductive thread
Thread made with metal or other conductive fibres so it can carry electricity while being sewn into fabric. It matters for wearable and textile projects because it can replace wire, but it has more resistance than normal hookup wire.
e-textiles
Electronic textiles are fabrics or clothing that include electrical parts such as conductive thread, sensors, LEDs, or small controllers. This matters because parts for e-textiles need to survive bending, sewing, and sometimes washing.
LED
A light-emitting diode is a small electronic component that lights up when current flows through it in the correct direction. In this kit, LEDs create the flashing effect, so polarity and correct soldering matter for the project to work.
Thread
A low-power wireless mesh networking standard designed for smart home and IoT devices. It matters because Thread devices can relay messages through each other, helping build reliable networks for sensors and controllers.
