This official replacement motor kit helps bring a damaged Maqueen V5 educational robot back to life after classroom mishaps, jammed gears, dust, hair or rough handling.
It is intended as a single motor replacement for the Maqueen V5. The motor comes with pre-soldered pin headers, so you can swap out the damaged motor and plug the new one in without soldering.
Each kit contains one N20 metal motor with pre-soldered PCB and pin headers, one motor mounting bracket, two mounting screws, and one sponge pad for battery box cushioning. Please note that a new Maqueen V5 already includes the two motors required for operation; if both motors are damaged, you will need two of these kits.
Features:
- All-in-One Solution: Includes one motor, a mounting bracket, screws, and a pad—everything needed for a single motor replacement.
- Quick & Easy Repair: The motor comes with pre-soldered pin headers, so no soldering is required. Simply swap the old motor out and plug the new one in.
- Official Accessory: Guarantees perfect compatibility and performance, matching the original motor specifications of the Maqueen V5.

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- DC
- DC means direct current, where electricity flows in one constant direction, as supplied by batteries, USB ports and many plug-pack power supplies. When a product specifies DC, it runs from a DC supply rather than mains AC, so you need to provide the correct voltage and polarity.
- Headers
- Rows of connector contacts on a fixed pitch (commonly 2.54 mm) used to link a board to a breadboard, jumper wires, or another board. They come as male pin headers and female socket headers; when a module ships with pre-soldered headers it can be used straight away, whereas bare pads require soldering the pins yourself.
- Matter
- A smart home connectivity standard designed to let devices work across different ecosystems. It matters if you want a project to integrate more easily with platforms such as Apple Home, Google Home, or other Matter-compatible systems.
- PCB
- A printed circuit board (PCB) is a board, usually rigid, with etched copper tracks that connect electronic components together without loose wiring. Components are mounted on the board and signals route between them through the copper layout.
