Description
Perfect for building your custom keyboard, these "Half Height" Low Profile MX key switches are compatible with standard MX layouts and solder-free sockets, offering a significantly slimmer design. While standard Cherry MX switches have a height of 10mm above the board, these switches measure just 7mm, yet maintain a 4mm actuator height. The "half height" designation refers to their 3mm body height from the mounting plate to the actuation floor, compared to the usual 6mm.

Like MX Black switches, these feature a smooth linear keystroke, essentially providing the same feel as MX Blacks but in a shorter package.

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- breakout
- A breakout is a small circuit board that makes a tiny or hard-to-solder component easier to connect to with standard pins. It matters because this OLED module can be wired into a microcontroller project without needing to solder directly to the display’s fine contacts.
- FeatherWing
- A FeatherWing is an add-on board made to plug into the Feather microcontroller board layout. Knowing a product is a FeatherWing helps you check whether it will physically and electrically fit your Feather-style mainboard.
