Several kinds of LED Strips have already been available in our bazaar for a long time, however, there were no Grove compatible LED strips. Now, we recommend the Grove - WS2813 RGB LED Strip Waterproof series for you.
This series products are awesome, and have three significant advantages over other products:
  • Grove Compatible - you can just plug your LED Strip to Seeeduino or Arduino+BaseShield via Grove Cable, no soldering, no complicated wiring.
  • WS2813 - WS2813 is an upgraded version of WS2812, which is much more stable and stronger than WS2812:
  • 1- support Resume from broken point;
  • 2- all electronic components are integrated into the lamp beads
  • Waterproof - we add a transparent waterproof slot for those LED Strips
According to the number of LEDs per meter, we have three models in this series.

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

Grove
Grove is a standardised 4-pin plug-in connector system for sensors and modules that avoids soldering and jumper wires, with different cable types carrying I2C, UART, analogue or digital signals. When a product is Grove-compatible it can be quicker to connect supported modules, provided the connector type, signal and voltage all match.
LED
A light-emitting diode (LED) is a small electronic component that emits light when current flows through it in the correct direction. Because it only conducts one way, its polarity matters, and a through-hole LED must be soldered the correct way around to light up.
RGB
Short for red, green and blue, the three primary colours of light that are mixed in varying amounts to make a wide range of colours. In electronics RGB can refer to an LED or pixel that blends these three colours, or to a colour signal or interface that carries separate red, green and blue channels.
