EagLED LEDs are purpose-built for e-textiles and wearable projects. This pack of 10 orange sewable LEDs come attached to each other on a snappable strip — simply break them apart as needed and sew them into clothing, accessories, or whatever you can dream up. Made in Australia, they're a cost-effective alternative to LilyPad LEDs.

Each LED has clearly marked + and − sew pads. Connect power to + and ground to − and they light up instantly. Use PWM to create fading or twinkling effects. Pair them with an EagLED CR2032 battery holder for a complete wearable circuit, or connect them to the EagLED Sewable Electronics Kit for more interactive projects.

Key Features

  • Snappable Strip – LEDs come connected; snap apart individually as needed
  • Sewable Pads – Designed for conductive thread with clearly marked + and − pins
  • Wide Voltage Range – Works with 3V to 6V input
  • PWM Compatible – Create fade and twinkle effects
  • Australian Made – Designed and manufactured locally

Specifications

  • Colour – Orange
  • Input Voltage – 3V to 6V
  • Connection – Sew pads (for conductive thread)
  • Dimensions – 5 × 12 × 1 mm per LED

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

conductive thread
Thread made with metal or other conductive fibres so it can carry electricity while being sewn into fabric. It matters for wearable and textile projects because it can replace wire, but it has more resistance than normal hookup wire.
e-textiles
Electronic textiles are fabrics or clothing that include electrical parts such as conductive thread, sensors, LEDs, or small controllers. This matters because parts for e-textiles need to survive bending, sewing, and sometimes washing.
LED
A light-emitting diode is a small electronic component that lights up when current flows through it in the correct direction. In this kit, LEDs create the flashing effect, so polarity and correct soldering matter for the project to work.
PWM
Pulse Width Modulation is a way for a digital pin to simulate variable output power by switching on and off very quickly. It matters for controlling things like LED brightness, motor speed, or servo-style signals from a microcontroller pin.
Thread
A low-power wireless mesh networking standard designed for smart home and IoT devices. It matters because Thread devices can relay messages through each other, helping build reliable networks for sensors and controllers.
