This dual 7-segment display features RGB LEDs in every segment, allowing full-colour numeric display. Each segment can produce red, green, blue, or mixed colours, giving you far more visual flexibility than a standard single-colour 7-segment display.

The display is breadboard-friendly with a digit height of 14.2 mm (0.56″), making it suitable for compact projects that need a colourful numerical readout.

Key Features

  • RGB Segments – Full-colour LED in every segment of both digits
  • Dual Digit – Two 7-segment digits plus decimal points
  • Breadboard Friendly – Through-hole pins for easy prototyping
  • Compact – 14.2 mm (0.56″) digit height

Specifications

  • Digit Height – 14.2 mm (0.56″)
  • Forward Voltage (Red) – 2.0 V DC
  • Forward Voltage (Green) – 2.85 V DC
  • Forward Voltage (Blue) – 2.95 V DC
  • Continuous Forward Current (Red) – 10 mA per segment
  • Continuous Forward Current (Green/Blue) – 5 mA per segment

Ideal For

  • Colour-coded numerical displays
  • Scoreboards and counters
  • Temperature or sensor readouts with colour indicators
  • Arduino and microcontroller projects

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

LED
A light-emitting diode is a small electronic component that lights up when current flows through it in the correct direction. In this kit, LEDs create the flashing effect, so polarity and correct soldering matter for the project to work.
microcontroller
A microcontroller is a small computer on a chip that runs your program and controls connected inputs and outputs. For this product, it is the part that reads buttons and sensors, drives the display and speaker, and communicates over Bluetooth.
RGB
Short for red, green and blue, usually referring to an LED that can mix those three colours. It matters because controlling an RGB LED teaches how separate outputs combine to create different colours.
