These DIY magnetic connectors let you add MagSafe-style snap-together connections to your own projects. Each set includes two matching halves with seven spring-loaded pogo pins at 2.2 mm pitch and embedded magnets that self-align and attract when oriented correctly — and repel if you try to connect them backwards.
The straight solderable tails connect directly to your PCB for power, data, I2C, SPI, or any combination of signals across the seven contacts.
Key Features
- 7 Contact Pogo Pins – Spring-loaded for reliable connection
- 2.2 mm Pitch – Compact spacing for small PCB designs
- Straight Solderable Tails – Solder directly to your board
- Magnetic Self-Alignment – Embedded magnets attract when correctly oriented and repel when reversed
- Matched Pair – Two halves included per set
Ideal For
- Detachable power and data connections on custom PCBs
- Wearable electronics with easy disconnect
- Magnetic STEMMA QT, USB, or charging connectors
- Any project where a quick-release magnetic connection is useful
Package Contents
- 1× Magnetic connector pair (2 matched halves)
Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- I2C
- I2C is a two-wire communication bus used by many sensors and small modules. It matters because several I2C devices can share the same two wires, but each device needs a compatible address and your controller must support I2C.
- PCB
- A printed circuit board is a rigid board with copper tracks that connect electronic parts without loose wires. For this kit, the PCBs also form the airplane shape, so they are both the circuit base and part of the finished model.
- SPI
- A fast serial communication bus often used for displays, memory cards, and sensors. It matters because SPI devices need specific pins for clock and data, plus a separate chip-select line for each device.
- STEMMA QT
- A small plug-in connector system for I2C boards that lets you connect compatible sensors and controllers without soldering. It matters because it can make wiring faster and less error-prone, especially when adding several small modules to a project.
