The Adafruit SMT Breakout PCB for 20-pin SOIC or TSSOP packages lets you easily prototype with surface-mount chips on standard solderless breadboards. One side accommodates a 20-pin TSSOP footprint while the other supports 20-pin SOIC (narrow, medium, or wide), with traces routed to two rows of 0.1"-spaced through-holes.
Key Features
- Dual Footprint – Supports SOIC (narrow, medium, or wide) on one side and TSSOP on the other
- 20-Pin Layout – Traces from each pad routed to breadboard-friendly 0.1" pitch holes
- 0.6" Row Spacing – Fits standard solderless breadboards with a centre channel
- Standard Thickness PCB – Durable construction for repeated use
Also Consider
- SMT Breakout PCB for SOIC or TSSOP – 12 pin (6-pack)
- SMT Breakout PCB for SOIC or TSSOP – 14 pin (6-pack)
- SMT Breakout PCB for SOIC or TSSOP – 16 pin (3-pack)
- SMT Breakout PCB for QFN or TQFP – 32 pin
- SMT Breakout PCB for QFN or TQFP – 44 pin
Package Contents
- 3× SMT breakout PCBs (each supports SOIC or TSSOP)
Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- breakout
- A breakout is a small circuit board that makes a tiny or hard-to-solder component easier to connect to with standard pins. It matters because this OLED module can be wired into a microcontroller project without needing to solder directly to the display’s fine contacts.
- PCB
- A printed circuit board is a rigid board with copper tracks that connect electronic parts without loose wires. For this kit, the PCBs also form the airplane shape, so they are both the circuit base and part of the finished model.
