Add warm-white accent lighting to tight builds with this ultra-thin, low-power flexible LED strip from DFRobot. At just 2.5mm wide and 1mm thick, it is well suited to ultra-narrow spaces where standard LED strips are too bulky.
The strip runs from 5V and provides 60 LEDs per metre, making it a handy option for model decoration, sand tables, toys, DIY light boards and DIY smart cars. It works well with FireBeetle and Arduino projects where compact decorative lighting is needed.
It can be cut one LED at a time, giving you more flexibility when fitting it into small enclosures or custom layouts. The shipping list includes one 5V flexible LED strip in warm white.

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- LED
- A light-emitting diode (LED) is a small electronic component that emits light when current flows through it in the correct direction. Because it only conducts one way, its polarity matters, and a through-hole LED must be soldered the correct way around to light up.
- SMD 0805
- SMD 0805 is a small surface-mount package size (roughly 2.0 by 1.25 mm, from the imperial 0.08 by 0.05 inch code) used for many parts such as resistors, capacitors and LEDs that solder directly onto a board rather than through holes. When a part lists 0805, expect a compact component that suits dense or narrow layouts but is fiddly to hand-solder without fine tools.
