A 2×5 (10-pin) shrouded box header on standard 0.1" (2.54 mm) pitch. The keyed shroud prevents reversed cable connections, making it ideal for programming headers, data buses, and other multi-pin interfaces.
Key Features
- Shrouded & Keyed – Polarised housing prevents incorrect cable orientation
- 2×5 Pin Layout – 10 pins arranged in two rows of five
- 0.1" (2.54 mm) Pitch – Standard spacing for breadboards and perfboard
- Through-Hole Mount – Solders directly to a PCB
Ideal For
- AVR ISP programming connections
- JTAG and SWD debugging interfaces
- General-purpose keyed ribbon cable connections
- Custom PCB inter-board connectors
Package Contents
- 1× 2×5 Pin Shrouded Header
Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- AVR
- AVR is a family of 8-bit microcontrollers used in many classic Arduino-style boards. If a USB host library mentions AVR support, it suggests the examples or compatibility may be aimed at those older microcontroller boards.
- Headers
- Rows of metal pins used to plug a module into a breadboard or connect it with jumper wires. Pre-soldered headers make the module easier to use straight away without needing to solder the pins yourself.
- ISP
- An image signal processor is hardware that helps process raw camera data into usable images or video. It matters for vision projects because it can improve camera handling and reduce the processing load on the main CPU.
- JTAG
- JTAG is a hardware debugging and programming interface used to inspect and control chips at a low level. It matters for advanced development because it can help diagnose firmware problems that are hard to see through normal serial output.
- PCB
- A printed circuit board is a rigid board with copper tracks that connect electronic parts without loose wires. For this kit, the PCBs also form the airplane shape, so they are both the circuit base and part of the finished model.
- SWD
- Serial Wire Debug is a two-wire programming and debugging interface used with many microcontrollers. It matters if you need low-level access to program, recover or debug the processor board connected to this carrier.
