The 2.8" TFT Touch Shield V4.3 is an Arduino-compatible display shield featuring a 240×320 colour LCD with a resistive touchscreen and onboard SD card socket. It communicates over SPI, keeping pin usage low and leaving more pins available for other components.

Driven by the ILI9341 controller, the shield supports 65,535 colours (16-bit) and includes a controllable backlight. The resistive touchscreen allows finger or stylus input across the full display area. Compatible with Arduino UNO, Crowduino, and Arduino Mega boards.

Colour depth
Colour depth describes how many different colours a display can show. A 65K-colour display can show about 65,000 colours, which is useful for icons, graphs, and simple full-colour interfaces but is less detailed than modern phone or computer screens.
LCD
LCD stands for liquid crystal display, a screen technology that uses a backlight and liquid crystals to show images or text. It matters because LCD modules usually need a display driver and enough controller pins or a bus interface to send image data.
