The Nordic Semiconductor nRF24L01+ is a 2.4 GHz transceiver IC with an enhanced feature set over the original nRF24L01, including improved range, auto-acknowledge, auto-retransmit, and six data pipes (Multiceiver). It operates on a 1.9–3.6 V supply with 5 V tolerant input pins, making it straightforward to interface with a variety of microcontrollers.

Key Features

  • 2.4 GHz ISM Band – 125 selectable channels (2400–2525 MHz)
  • Up to 2 Mbps Data Rate – Plus a long-range 250 kbps mode
  • 6 Data Pipes (Multiceiver) – Communicate with multiple transmitters simultaneously
  • Auto-Acknowledge & Auto-Retransmit – Built-in reliable data transfer
  • 32-Byte TX & RX FIFOs – Separate buffers for transmit and receive
  • 1.9–3.6 V Supply – Low voltage operation with 5 V tolerant inputs
  • Drop-In Compatible – Pin-compatible with the original nRF24L01

Ideal For

  • Wireless sensor networks and IoT nodes
  • Remote control and telemetry projects
  • Arduino and microcontroller wireless communication
  • Custom PCB designs requiring a compact RF transceiver

Package Contents

  • 1× nRF24L01+ Transceiver IC

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

IoT
Short for Internet of Things, meaning physical devices that connect to networks or the internet to send data or be controlled remotely. It matters if you want projects such as connected sensors, remote controls or classroom data-logging activities.
microcontroller
A microcontroller is a small computer on a chip that runs your program and controls connected inputs and outputs. For this product, it is the part that reads buttons and sensors, drives the display and speaker, and communicates over Bluetooth.
PCB
A printed circuit board is a rigid board with copper tracks that connect electronic parts without loose wires. For this kit, the PCBs also form the airplane shape, so they are both the circuit base and part of the finished model.
RF
RF means radio frequency, referring to signals used for wireless communication and other high-frequency electronics. A low-noise, stable power supply is important for RF circuits because power noise can affect signal quality and measurements.
