Signing in with Passkeys

Passkeys

Passkeys are a modern, secure way to sign in to your Little Bird Electronics account without needing to remember a password. They use your device's built-in biometrics or a security key to verify your identity.

What is a passkey?

A passkey replaces your password with something much harder to compromise. Instead of typing a password, you authenticate using:

• Fingerprint recognition (Touch ID or similar)
• Face recognition (Face ID or similar)
• A hardware security key (such as a YubiKey)
• Your device's screen lock (PIN or pattern)

Passkeys are resistant to phishing attacks because they are tied to the specific website they were created for. They can't be accidentally shared or stolen the way passwords can.

Setting up a passkey

1. Log in to your account and go to your Profile settings.
2. Look for the Passkeys section.
3. Click "Add Passkey" and follow the prompts on your device.
4. Your browser will ask you to confirm using your biometrics or security key.

Using multiple passkeys

You can register passkeys on multiple devices. For example, you might set up a passkey on both your laptop and your phone. This way, you can sign in conveniently from whichever device you're using. Each passkey is listed in your Profile settings, where you can also remove any you no longer need.
