The Yahboom Smartduino is a 2-in-1 Arduino starter kit and smart robot car based on the Arduino Uno R3. It comes with a high-quality integrated circuit board chassis, two breadboard platforms, and a comprehensive collection of sensors and components — letting you work through 20 beginner electronics experiments and then build a fully functional robot car with 12 smart functions.
The kit supports C programming via the Arduino IDE, as well as graphical programming through Mixly and Scratch 3.0. All experiments use breadboard connections (no soldering required), and the robot can be controlled via IR remote or Bluetooth app (Android).
Key Features

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- IDE
- Short for Integrated Development Environment, a program used to write, run and manage code. It matters because some learners prefer a traditional coding workspace instead of a guided notebook-style lesson.
- LCD
- LCD stands for liquid crystal display, a screen technology that uses a backlight and liquid crystals to show images or text. It matters because LCD modules usually need a display driver and enough controller pins or a bus interface to send image data.
- LED
- A light-emitting diode is a small electronic component that lights up when current flows through it in the correct direction. In this kit, LEDs create the flashing effect, so polarity and correct soldering matter for the project to work.
- male-to-male
- A male-to-male cable has plug-style connectors on both ends rather than a socket on one end. This matters when choosing a cable because it must match the female sockets on the modules or boards you want to connect.
- servo
- A servo is a motor with built-in position control, usually told to move to a specific angle by a control signal. It matters when you need repeatable movement, such as steering, arms, flaps, or linkages, rather than continuous spinning.
