Built around the UNIHIKER K10, this DFRobot learning kit is designed to help beginners and makers explore modern smart hardware, IoT and artificial intelligence projects in one structured package.

The kit includes six distinctive modules such as a millimetre wave human presence sensor, clutch servo, fan module, rotation sensor, LED module and motors, with support for Mind+ graphical programming and C code development. The included curriculum covers 35 project-based tutorials, progressing from basic signal control through to image recognition, voice interaction and IoT communication.

The tutorials are organised into three main themes: Basic Control, IoT and Artificial Intelligence. Users start with simple hardware tasks such as lighting an LED, move on to device communication and IoT server functions, then explore model training, edge AI and large language model-based projects.

Supplied hardware includes UNIHIKER KI0 x1, Expansion Board x1, mmWave Human Presence Detection Sensor x1, Rotation Sensor x1, LED Module x1, Fan Module x1, Clutch Servo Horn and Servo Horn x1, TT Motor x2, Data Cable x1, Expansion Board Power Cable x1, Card Reader x1, MicrosD Memory Card x1 and Module Connection Cable.

Features:

  • The Ultimate All-in-One AIoT Lab: Complete ecosystem designed to bridge the gap between basic electronics and professional AIoT development.
  • 35-project curriculum: Integrates powerful hardware with a structured 35-project curriculum.
  • Master the Future: LLM & Edge AI: Enables projects using generative AI and edge computing technologies.
  • Generative AI (LLM): Learn to integrate Large Language Models like ChatGPT to give projects intelligence and conversational abilities.
  • Edge Computing (TinyML): Deploy on-device image and speech recognition that works in real time, even without a heavy cloud connection.
  • Pro-Grade Sensing & Control: Features high-performance modules for real-world prototyping.
  • mmWave Radar: High-precision human presence detection that outperforms standard infrared sensors.
  • Clutch Servo: Durable, anti-overload actuation for reliable robotic and mechanical projects.

Specifications:

  • Expansion Interface: DFRobot Gravity Series (Standard 3-Pin / 4-Pin PH2.0)
  • Power/Connectivity: 3.5~5.5V DC ,USB to DC2.1 converter cable or Type-C cable.
  • Package size: 250*190*57 mm/ 9.84 * 7.5 *2.24 inches
  • Weight: 647g

A strong fit for classroom learning, maker workshops and anyone wanting a guided path from basic electronics into AIoT project building.

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

Clutch servo
A servo with a built-in clutch that can slip or reset if the output arm is forced by hand or by a mechanism. This matters in robots and models because it can reduce damage when the servo is pushed past its commanded position.
edge computing
Edge computing means processing data close to where it is collected, such as on the device itself, rather than sending everything to the cloud. This can reduce delays, internet dependence, and privacy concerns in sensor, camera, and robotics projects.
Gravity
Gravity is DFRobot’s plug-in connector system for sensors, motors and modules, using standard cables to reduce loose jumper wiring. It matters because Gravity-compatible parts can connect directly to these ports, while non-Gravity parts may need adapters or manual wiring.
IoT
Short for Internet of Things, meaning physical devices that connect to networks or the internet to send data or be controlled remotely. It matters if you want projects such as connected sensors, remote controls or classroom data-logging activities.
LED
A light-emitting diode is a small electronic component that lights up when current flows through it in the correct direction. In this kit, LEDs create the flashing effect, so polarity and correct soldering matter for the project to work.
mmWave
Short for millimetre wave, a high-frequency radio technology used here for radar-style sensing. It matters because mmWave sensors can detect very small movements, such as breathing, which helps them notice a person who is sitting still.
servo
A servo is a motor with built-in position control, usually told to move to a specific angle by a control signal. It matters when you need repeatable movement, such as steering, arms, flaps, or linkages, rather than continuous spinning.
TinyML
TinyML means running small machine-learning models directly on a microcontroller or small board instead of sending data to a cloud service. It matters because it can make AI projects faster, more private, and usable without constant internet access, but the models must be small enough for the device.
UNIHIKER
UNIHIKER is a small programmable computer board used in education and maker projects, often connected to external sensors and modules. Compatibility matters because the cable must match the board’s connector type and pin layout.
