These extra-long stacking headers are designed for BeagleBone Capes, allowing you to stack multiple capes on a single BeagleBone for modular, expandable designs. They work just like standard 2×23 0.1"-spaced female headers, but with extended legs that solder through a PCB and plug directly into the BeagleBone.
Key Features
- 2×23 Pin Configuration – Matches the standard BeagleBone cape header pinout
- Extra-Long Legs – Solder through a PCB and plug into the BeagleBone below
- Stackable Design – Stack as many capes as you need for modular builds
- 0.1" (2.54 mm) Spacing – Standard pitch for easy compatibility
Package Contents
- 2× 2×23 stacking headers
Note: Due to the large number of connections, these headers are easy to plug in but more difficult to remove. When removing a stacked cape, slowly and carefully pry each side up a little at a time to avoid bending the pins.
Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- Headers
- Rows of metal pins used to plug a module into a breadboard or connect it with jumper wires. Pre-soldered headers make the module easier to use straight away without needing to solder the pins yourself.
- PCB
- A printed circuit board is a rigid board with copper tracks that connect electronic parts without loose wires. For this kit, the PCBs also form the airplane shape, so they are both the circuit base and part of the finished model.
