These 4-pin PCB-mount spring terminals provide a quick, tool-free way to connect bare wires to your circuit board. Simply press the spring arm to open the aperture, insert the wire, and release — the wire is held firmly in place.
With standard 0.1" (2.54mm) pin spacing, these terminals insert directly into perfboard and protoboard. They offer higher current capacity and more reliable connections than breadboard or female header connections.

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- AWG
- American Wire Gauge is a numbering system for wire thickness, where a lower number means a thicker wire. The AWG rating matters because thicker wire can usually carry more current with less voltage drop and heating.
- PCB
- A printed circuit board (PCB) is a board, usually rigid, with etched copper tracks that connect electronic components together without loose wiring. Components are mounted on the board and signals route between them through the copper layout.
- through-hole
- A mounting style where the component leads pass through holes in a circuit board and are soldered on the other side. Through-hole parts are often easier to handle and solder by hand, which is useful for classroom and hobby projects.
