Need more Qwiic ports without forcing every board into a single daisy chain? This star-shaped Qwiic MultiStar acts as a hub for the I2C bus, adding four extra usable Qwiic ports to a board that only has one.

The board has five Qwiic connectors in total. One connects back to your main board, leaving the others available for Qwiic-enabled sensors, actuators, shields and other modules. The large mounting points also make it easy to hang as a festive ornament around the house or on a tree.

It is part of the SparkFun Qwiic Connect System, which uses a common 1mm pitch, 4-pin JST connector. The polarised connectors help reduce wiring mistakes and make prototyping quicker and tidier.

Documentation is available for the Qwiic MultiPort, MicroMod and Qwiic ecosystem.

Features:

  • 5x Qwiic Connectors
  • 5x Large Mounting Points
  • Gloss Finish

Specifications:

  • Qwiic connectors: 5x Qwiic Connectors
  • Mounting points: 5x Large Mounting Points
  • Finish: Gloss Finish

A handy little Qwiic hub for seasonal builds, tidy I2C prototypes or projects where a straight daisy chain is not the best fit.

Jargon buster

Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.

Daisy chain
A wiring layout where devices are connected one after another in a line. It matters because long or awkward chains can make projects messy or less convenient, while a hub lets several devices branch out from one point.
I2C
I2C is a two-wire communication bus used by many sensors and small modules. It matters because several I2C devices can share the same two wires, but each device needs a compatible address and your controller must support I2C.
MicroMod
A modular board system where a small processor board plugs into a separate carrier board that provides connectors, power, and peripherals. It matters because this carrier board needs a compatible MicroMod processor board before it can run your project code.
Qwiic
Qwiic is a plug-in connector system for I2C devices that uses small 4-pin cables, so you can connect compatible sensors without soldering. It matters because your controller or adapter also needs Qwiic, or you will need a cable or breakout to wire it up.
