This Techspray solder wick is a pre-fluxed copper desoldering braid for removing solder from PCB joints, pads and accidental solder bridges. It is a handy bench consumable for component replacement, PCB rework, repair and prototyping.
To use it, place the wick over the solder joint and apply your soldering iron. As the solder reaches its melting point, the flux activates and the braided copper draws solder up by capillary action.
This is size #2 wick, measuring 1.4mm (0.055") wide and supplied in a 5ft length. Used sections of wick cannot be reused, so trim away spent braid as you work.
