Snakes and Ladders Mat for Bee-Bot and Blue-Bot

Everyone already knows the rules, which is exactly why this one works. Students roll, then have to program their Bee-Bot to travel the right number of squares — and when a snake or ladder sends them somewhere unexpected, they have to work out the new route from where the robot is actually sitting, not where they wanted it to be.

It quietly builds counting on, counting back and step-by-step sequencing, and because it's a game the class will happily play it several times over. Suits Foundation to Year 2.

The mat measures 90cm x 90cm, a 6 x 6 grid of Bee-Bot squares. Robot not included.
