These SMD testing tweezers are a built-in multimeter with tweezer-shaped probes — just grab a component to test it. No more fumbling with bulky multimeter probes on tiny 0402 or 0603 parts. Measure resistors, capacitors, diodes, and LEDs by simply pinching them between the tips.
A scanning mode automatically identifies the component type and selects the right measurement range. Alternatively, press the Function button to manually select the mode. Particularly useful for checking unmarked SMD values and determining LED polarity or forward voltage.
Key Features
- Tweezer-Style Probes – Grip SMD components directly between the tips for hands-free testing
- Scanning Mode – Automatically detects component type and auto-ranges
- Manual Mode – Select resistor, capacitor, diode, or LED mode via Function button
- LED Testing – Identifies polarity and colour of SMD LEDs
- Compact & Portable – Comes in a clear hard case for bench or travel use
- Battery Included – Ships with a CR2032 coin cell and a spare set of tips

Jargon buster
Plain-language definitions for the technical terms used above.
- LED
- A light-emitting diode (LED) is a small electronic component that emits light when current flows through it in the correct direction. Because it only conducts one way, its polarity matters, and a through-hole LED must be soldered the correct way around to light up.
- PCB
- A printed circuit board (PCB) is a board, usually rigid, with etched copper tracks that connect electronic components together without loose wiring. Components are mounted on the board and signals route between them through the copper layout.
- SMD
- SMD means surface-mount device, a component style designed to be soldered directly onto the surface of a circuit board rather than through holes. SMD parts are compact and mounted flat on the board, which suits smaller and mass-produced designs.
