This flexible blue LED filament gives you a compact, neon-like glow for small props, models, dioramas, dollhouses and other miniature builds. It is made from dozens of micro LED diodes bonded to a flexible printed circuit backing, then coated in silicone for protection.
The LEDs are arranged in parallel, so the filament lights from around 3V and behaves much like a long LED. Adafruit recommends using a current-limiting resistor and keeping current to a maximum of 50mA.
The two contacts are on one end for easier installation in tight spaces. The positive anode is the metal end with the little hole; if it does not light immediately, reverse the connection. It can also be PWM dimmed for adjustable effects.

- A light-emitting diode (LED) is a small electronic component that emits light when current flows through it in the correct direction. Because it only conducts one way, its polarity matters, and a through-hole LED must be soldered the correct way around to light up.

- Pulse Width Modulation is a way for a digital pin to simulate variable output power by switching on and off very quickly. It matters for controlling things like LED brightness, motor speed, or servo-style signals from a microcontroller pin.
